Game Night Photo

Once the models were all built, which was usually after four 2 hour classes, the students went on to making the diorama. Each group was given a 3x3-ft sheet of plywood and a sheet of Styrofoam. With foam cutters, they were taught to shape the Styrofoam, paint and grass the surface, first making a main street, and then gluing down the model buildings. The students were then taught how to paint 1/72nd scale plastic figs, how to make trees, and how to use an airbrush so they could pain the ground surface. This was an intense class, all the while they had written homework to do, as well as written tests and oral presentations to give. The students found these classes to be a lot of fun, which is why there is a 2-year waiting list.
