Printing Information:
Paper Sizes: Whether you are printing onto 8.5in x 11.0in, or A4 paper sizes, Whitewash City prints perfectly at 100 percent setting. You DO NOT have to rescale your page settings to fit onto A4 paper! Whitewash City is designed to give you 30mm (1/60th) scale whether you are printing onto A4 or 8.5in x 11.0in paper!
Printing: Printing Whitewash City or 2-D Floor Plans PDF Files should not pose any problems unless you are using a very old printer with minimal memory. These files may take a while to print -- please be patient with them. Its best to print one page at a time rather than several at once -- saves on printer and computer memory.
All of the our 3-D and 2-D PDF files are vector art files. We use vector art rather than bitmapped art for two reasons:
1) Final file sizes are much smaller than bitmapped PDF files. You often get twice the number of pages with a file that is half the size as a bitmapped PDF file. You get more product from our PDF files than any other PDF files on the market without having to pay more!
2) Print quality is far higher than bitmapped PDF files. Print quality can be as high as 800dpi, which is far and beyond what is normally required. Usually, 600dpi is all that is require for printing black line art in vector art, although these files will also print very well at 300dpi. Even if you enlarge the images/printouts, the print quality will always remain very high yielding crisp clean lines.
We have not had any problems reported from our customers with regards to printing. Most problems reported came from people referring to past experiences using older systems and trying to print too many pages at once. Its best to always print one page at a time.
